Notes:

This data was collected by Ken Toogood, 79th Entry, in March 2007, in response to the plea for further editions made on the 104th Entry web-side - Locking Review PDF docs page.

Whilst the above-mentioned editions exist in the Reference section of Weston Super Mare library, there is a down-side to them being collected into the three light-blue covers (L35.7).  They simply will not lay flat enough on the copier glass to give a good copy across the entire area of each page.

One of the weakness of the Locking Review was the time delay between reporting and publishing.  It was easy enough getting copies giving information about entries senior to yours but obtaining the edition which covered your own pass-out would have meant ordering it.  Maybe a small proportion did place orders but at pass-out we were just about to make a massive leap into a big unknown.  Where to have it sent - postings came very late in  the ninth term - I know the idea never occurred to me at the time.

It may be a bit late in the day but let me suggest alternative sources.  Does anyone know surviving Squadron or Flight Commanders, Squadron NCOs?  For A Squadron in the nineteen fifties I know that we have lost Sergeant (Geordie) Maxwell and Flight Sergeant Bill Bettel (later W.O.). - are there any survivors for B or C Squadrons?

Alongside the Locking Reviews folders, in the library, are three copies of a "Welcome to Locking" booklet (which includes a site map) and two editions of "Airwaves" a later Station periodical.

Copies of the Locking Review are held; most have been bound into three blue covers carrying the Library Reference code L35.7.  (The odd loose review is Vol.1 - No.5 for 1959)
